Once a legendary outpost for Alaska heli-skiers, the Alaska Rendezvous Lodge is returning to life with renewed purpose. Nestled beneath the Chugach Mountains on Thompson Pass, it's a place where cozy accommodations, comforting meals, and stories shared over a drink are part of the experience.
Fully revitalized since joining the Valdez Heli-Ski Guides family in 2025, the Rendezvous complements the Tsaina Lodge by offering guests a second unforgettable base for world-class heli-skiing, just 10 miles up the road. With deep respect for its history and a bold vision for the future, it blends comfort, community, and wild Alaskan adventure - the kind of trip that becomes a lifetime memory.

The famous "blue hole" - a unique weather phenomenon that keeps skies clearer here even when clouds close in around Thompson Pass - doesn't only favor the Tsaina. Perched at the top of the pass, the Alaska Rendezvous Lodge enjoys the very same advantage.
For our guests, that means alternative good-weather heli-ski terrain just minutes away by helicopter - more flexibility to fly, and more opportunities to ride, even on days when conditions elsewhere in the Chugach are limited.

Wilderness meets comfort
Our luxury yurts offer a unique blend of comfort and immersion in the Alaskan wilderness. Double-bedroom yurts are thoughtfully divided into two private suites - each with its own bedroom and private bathroom - arranged around a communal yurt with a cozy living room, TV, and snacks. For a more exclusive experience, single-bedroom yurts with private bathrooms surround a private lounge complete with couches, a TV, a driving simulator, and a kitchen where your private chef prepares personalized meals.
Fast Wi-Fi covers the entire site, and a dedicated gym yurt is ready for a morning warm-up before the helicopter lifts off. Designed with heli-skiers in mind, the yurts strike the perfect balance of comfort, privacy, and community - right at the heart of the action.
The Crow - a brand new bar & kitchen

Since 2025, The Crow has been the newest gathering spot at the Alaska Rendezvous Lodge - a bold, guests-only alternative to the Tsaina's legendary bar and restaurant.
With its laid-back vibe, it's the perfect place to kick back with a cold beer after chasing lines in the Chugach, trade stories with fellow adventurers, forge new friendships, or settle in for a hearty, well-earned dinner.
